The Transience of Life - Simón García

Recorded in July 2020 for the Bass Works @ Home Faculty Recital. The title of this piece, “The Transience of Life,” made it seem like a fitting piece to learn during the pandemic when it feels like the world is upside down. Like everyone, I had to suddenly change or cancel almost all of my plans starting in late March of that year, which made me appreciate a lot of things in a new way.

This recording is dedicated to the people I care about who I was expecting to see in that year but wasn’t able to, which includes my own immediate family and also my Bass Works family. Take 3/3, this video has plenty of flaws, but it was recorded with love.
